Historical Note
KCHUNG Radio was founded in 2011 by Solomon Bothwell with Harsh Patel and Luke Fischbeck. It operates as an artist-run cooperative staffed by volunteers in Chinatown, Los Angeles. KCHUNG hosts round-the-clock programs and site-specific projects by more than 200 contributing members, including music, call-in, talk, and sound shows. The station broadcasts on 1630 AM in the Chinatown neighborhood as well as online at its website. The name "KCHUNG" derives from Chung King Road in Chinatown. [Sources: 1, 2, 3]
