Friends Series #4, Carl Pomposelli and Kelly Cline

Kelly Cline was born in New Jersey in 1984. She grew up in Pennsylvania where she received her BFA from Penn State University in 2008 and later moved to California to receive her MFA from CalArts in 2010. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at Artist Curated Projects, Common Wealth & Council, Armory Center For the Arts, Santa Barbara Contemporary Art Forum, and Acme Gallery. Kelly’s interests, which she explores through sculptures and drawings, lie in her cognitive and emotional relationship to mark making and the resulting affect.

Carl Pomposelli was born in New Jersey in 1980 and was raised in rural Florida. After receiving a BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design he moved to California to go to Calarts. Carl got his MFA in 2010 and now lives and works in Los Angeles. He is the co founder of The Fourth Wall, a project space in downtown and is currently organizing JOMA a residency in Floral City FL. Recent group shows Carl has been a part of include Keith “Rocka" Kittel’s Everything Must Go at Charlie at Charlie James Gallery, Primo Lane, at Outpost Projects, the Shelf on Broadway Dave Gallery Los Angeles CA, curated by David Bell and Spectacular Subdivisions, High Desert Test Sites Joshua Tree CA, curated by Jay Lizo. The accumulation of objects and their history feed his multidisciplinary approach. He teaches at The University of Redlands and Newroads School in Santa Monica.
