Eddie's Liquor Vol. 1 is a physical testament to the multi-disciplinary work of artist Senay Kenfe. Incorporating pan Afrikan themes interwoven with dark humor (characters lifted from Ralph J Baskin’s coonskin sit side by side with Marcus Garvey) and references to the current housing crisis, all major issues in the life of a Long Beach native. Biblical stories are intertwined to the black power narrative of the 60s and 70s alongside themes of empowerment and self reliance.
