A walk that I led as part of a residency in L.A. at Concord in 2013. Based on the 1993 film ‘Falling Down’, we visited locations from key scenes in the film to discuss with local residents how each area had changed over the 20 years following its release. The plot follows the main character, an unemployed military engineer having a break-down who walks from one end of L.A. to the other. I used the walk as a way to investigate the trembling of fiction and reality within the landscape of L.A.
I have submitted three walks that people can go on using the uploaded documents, ranging from 90mins to 8 hours. In addition to these documents I have uploaded a short video documenting the orginial walk and a news clipping promoting the walk.
