Non-profit radio station dublab, and music mecca Bedrock LA join forces to celebrate their respective 20th and 10th anniversaries. From 3pm to 12am, we invite the community to this fundraiser event to benefit dublab’s mission and programming.The event takes over the Bedrock LA building with 10 areas featuring live performances, DJ sets, sound installations, activations, food trucks, drinks and more. Suggested donation is $10, the event is 21 and over.The fundraiser event marks two decades of dublab broadcasting from the Los Angeles and ten years of Bedrock LA providing a space for musicians to rehearse, record and more.
About dublab: Since launching in 1999, dublab has been recognized as one of the pioneers of online radio, helping define the medium and influencing the international landscape of music streaming. dublab’s executive director, Alejandro Cohen, explains, “The 20th anniversary of dublab is not only a milestone for the station, but also for online radio as a whole. The station’s beginnings in 1999 helped pave the way for online radio to be recognized as a means capable of having a genuine audience and the capacity to build communities worldwide.” After 20 years of what the station calls “Future Roots Radio,” dublab continues to expand through its radio programs, events and affiliate stations in Japan, Spain, Germany and Brazil.
About Bedrock LA: Celebrating ten years in business, Bedrock.LA was founded by three musicians with the goal of providing a better creative environment for musicians. From humble beginnings, an East(side) LA landmark has emerged with a giant outdoor mural that is visible from space. The 40,000 square foot one-stop-shop for all things music hosts over 2,500 working local and touring musicians per week providing comfortable rehearsal rooms, recording rooms, equipment rentals, equipment repairs, and music retail.
