Receipt from a florist where flowers were delivered to Hollywood Forever Cemetery and Calvary Cemertery.  

Real Historic Records is comprised of two parts. The first part, is the painted entrances of the cemeteries used from Flower Repository. The artist then photographed the paintings producing documentation of the paintings. For the second part, she sent flowers to the graves from which she sampled flowers for Flower Repository. The artist then displayed the receipt producing documentation of the act of sending the flowers. Together this activity demonstrates the way in which paperwork can take on symbolic meaning as a substitute for the original.
